Resident Advisor has Shades at SILO in East Williamsburg on Thursday 29 October, 9pm to 3am, promoted by SILO and filed under drum & bass.

Shades is Alix Perez and Eprom. Perez built his name in drum & bass with releases on Shogun Audio and Exit Records and collaborations with Noisia, dBridge and Foreign Beggars, and runs 1985 Music, which took Best New Label at the 2017 Drum&BassArena Awards by public vote. Eprom is the Portland producer whose work sits in the heavier, more warped end of American bass. The two first worked together in Los Angeles in 2015; the project has since put out four EPs and a debut album on Zeds Dead's Deadbeats imprint, and has toured internationally.

SILO's 90 Scott Ave warehouse is the room in New York most suited to this kind of half-time, sub-heavy programming, and it hosts Ivy Lab's farewell date earlier in the same month.
