Audio and Balron's Breach lands on Blackout, with Scream on the flip
In brief
A two-track 12-inch's worth of material dated 21 August on Blackout Music NL, already opening Eatbrain's podcast and turning up in Neuropunk's September show.
Blackout Music NL's most recent pair of tracks arrived on 21 August 2026 under the title Breach: the title cut credited to Audio and Balron, with Balron's solo "Scream" alongside it. Beatport lists both at 87 BPM in F minor, which tells you the two were built to sit next to each other rather than assembled after the fact.
The pairing is the more interesting part. Audio has been one of Blackout's anchor artists across the last few years — his material fills a good chunk of the label's Best Of 2025 round-up, including "Red Flag", "Tremor" with Black Sun Empire, and Pythius's remix of "Blood On Our Hands" with AENYGMA — and he also appears on Merikan's debut album Nightreign, which Blackout put out on 5 June 2026 across thirteen tracks and forty-nine minutes, with Gancher & Ruin and Disprove filling out the guest list. Balron is the newer name on the imprint, and the label has given him both halves of this release rather than a single feature credit. Blackout tends to do that deliberately.
The reception has been quick and it has been from the right places. Eatbrain's podcast opened an episode with "Breach", listing it first on the tracklist above cuts from Merikan, HighThere and Agressor Bunx — Jade's label leading with a Blackout record is not a routine occurrence. Bes and Paperclip played both sides on Neuropunk Нейрогон S07E02 on 13 September, with "Scream" and then "Breach" appearing in the same set, and DC2 included "Breach" in The Best Of The Month 020, published 4 September. For a two-track release from a producer without a long Blackout discography behind him, that is a broad spread of support inside three weeks.
Context
Blackout spent the late summer working both ends of its catalogue. On 4 September the label ran Blackout Rewind at TivoliVredenburg's Ronda room in Utrecht, a 20:00–03:00 event priced at €21 and pitched explicitly at oldskool material and earlier doors — Aphrodite among the billed names. Set against that, a hard new 87 BPM release from a relatively fresh signing reads as the label keeping both its archive and its A&R pipeline visible in the same month.
Both tracks are available through Blackout's Beatport store, where Breach currently sits at the top of the label's release list.
