Kasra takes Critical back to Volks with QZB and Spectrail on an all-night bill.
Critical Sound returns to Brighton on Friday 11 December 2026, with label boss Kasra joined by QZB, Spectrail, Badger, Gui, Elemental and Mynx, hosted by Mantmast. Doors are listed 11pm to 7am at The Volks, with tickets from £6 via Skiddle.
Volks is a low-ceilinged railway-arch room under the seafront, which is about as close as Brighton gets to the kind of space Critical nights are built for — the label's own billing for these shows leans on system and darkness rather than production. The all-night finish is the point: eight hours is enough room for Kasra to programme the slower, more technical end of the catalogue rather than running a two-hour highlights set.
This caps a busy year of Critical dates in the UK. The label played all three rooms at fabric on 23 October 2026, a show that had multiple ticket tiers sold out ahead of the lineup announcement, and earlier in the year took one of the final sessions at Corsica Studios on 7 February before the Elephant & Castle venue closed for good. Brighton is the smaller, cheaper counterpart to those — a club night rather than an event.
