The Black Box: 10 Years (Night One)
The first of two nights marking a decade of Denver's dedicated underground bass room, the venue that hosted Phace and Mefjus earlier this year.
The Black Box turns ten, and marks it across two nights on November 20th and 21st. The room is at 314 E. 13th Ave in Denver, a dual-room space with a main floor listed at 500 capacity and a separate 250-capacity Lounge, both running custom-built Basscouch sound. Resident Advisor lists the two anniversary dates as the venue's upcoming events; EDMTrain carries Night One as November 20, 2026.
The booking record is the argument for going. The 2026 calendar run by the venue has included Phace on September 12th, presented with Recon, and Mefjus on September 24th with Daxta on the mic alongside DiS_1 and Solid, plus LSB and DRS, Bukez Finezt, DJ Paypal and Daedelus across the year. RA's stats page for the club lists Sinistarr, Darkstar, Newnumbertwo, Monty and John Templeton among its most-listed artists. Findmuse's page for the September Phace show described him as working in technical sound design that crosses aggressive neurofunk with techno aesthetics.
The venue has taken Westword's Best Club award repeatedly between 2018 and 2024. A full lineup for the anniversary nights had not been published on the pages consulted; tickets are handled through the venue's own events site.
