Blackout brings in three new names on Osprey's two-tracker
In brief
Black Sun Empire's label announced Osprey, Laetho and LAUD as new additions on 18 September, with the pair of tracks catalogued as BLCKTNL215.
Blackout Music NL added three names to its roster in one release last month. The label announced on 18 September that it was welcoming three new faces to the family with a two-tracker from Osprey: 'Waiting For The Sun', made with Laetho and LAUD, and the solo cut 'Move'. Volumo lists the release as BLCKTNL215, with 'Move' running at 174 BPM in G minor and 'Waiting For The Sun' at 86 BPM in F sharp minor, and gives a 2 October date for the wider release.
Signing three artists at once on a single catalogue number is not how Blackout usually operates. The label, run by Black Sun Empire out of Utrecht and described by Beatport as the trio's brainchild, has spent most of 2026 working with names already established in its orbit: Merikan's Nightreign album, Merikan with Gancher & Ruin on 'Boss Fight', Deathmachine, and an Audio release in early September filed as BLCKTNL214. A debut that doubles as an introduction to two further producers is a different kind of bet.
The rest of the autumn
Blackout's own release feed also flags Balron's 'Breach' and Screamarts' 'Future Funk' alongside a Blackout Berlin date on 14 November. That follows Blackout Rewind on 4 September at TivoliVredenburg's Ronda room in Utrecht, an oldskool-leaning night running 20:00 to 03:00 with Aphrodite, Black Sun Empire, Dillinja, Matrix b2b Optical, Adi-J and Rayven Lux, hosted by DART and Innate MC, with tickets at €21. The label's framing for that one was explicit: bringing back the classics, with earlier hours, as the label put it, "just like old times".
Taken together it reads as a label running two tracks at once — a heritage strand built around the people Black Sun Empire came up with, and a signings pipeline that is now pulling in producers with no prior Blackout history. Which of the three new arrivals sticks is the thing to watch over the next few catalogue numbers; Osprey has the solo cut and the lead credit, but Laetho and LAUD both landed on the release that got them through the door.
