Figure closes Eatbrain's October with EATBRAIN 244
In brief
A four-track solo EP dated 30 October 2026, with First Person turning up on "Venomous" — the fourth Eatbrain catalogue number in a six-week run.
Eatbrain's autumn run has been dense enough that individual releases risk getting lost in it. EATBRAIN 244, credited to Figure and dated 30 October 2026, is the one that closes the month out, and it arrives as a solo four-tracker rather than the split or collaborative format the label has leaned on recently.
The track listing, as carried by Volumo's Eatbrain catalogue page, runs Bugs, Venomous, Damage and Hemolymph. First Person is credited alongside Figure on Venomous; the other three are Figure alone. The metadata on Bugs puts it at 172 BPM in G minor and 4:09 long, which is a useful detail only insofar as 172 is a notch below where the label's heavier catalogue numbers usually sit — most of what Eatbrain has shipped this quarter is pitched at 174.
The titles are worth noting as a set. Bugs, Venomous, Hemolymph — the last being the circulatory fluid in arthropods — point to a deliberate entomological conceit running across the EP rather than four unrelated club tools bundled under a catalogue number. Whether that extends into the sound design is something you'll have to judge from the audio; I have not heard it, and the label has not published a written statement on the record that I could find.
Where it sits in the catalogue
Sequenced, Eatbrain's recent numbering tells its own story: 241 was Burr Oak & Pythius with REEBZ on Black Tears, 242 was the Gancher & Ruin x Gydra collaboration Deepraw, 243 is Brainstorm from Burr Oak and Audio on 23 October, and 244 lands a week later. Four catalogue numbers inside roughly six weeks, three of them collaborative. Giving Figure a full solo EP at the end of that sequence is a signal about where the label thinks the artist is.
The release is listed on Volumo with full per-track metadata, which means it's cleared the usual digital distribution channels and should be findable wherever you normally buy from the label. Eatbrain's own site and Bandcamp are the obvious first stops.
